Description

1. The City of Albany (hereinafter referred to as the “City”), by and through it Department of General Services, hereby requests proposals from qualified entities to provide processing services for single stream commingled recyclable materials. The City expects the selected proposer to be responsible for processing a single stream commingled mix of recyclable material from residential consumers collected by the City’s Department of General Services. Minority Business Enterprises and Women’s Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals.
2. The City asks all proposers to indicate their willingness to extend the terms of the resulting contract, inclusive of price, to other municipalities in New York State. While this clause in no way commits other municipalities in New York State to purchase from the City’s selected proposer, nor does it guarantee to the selected proposer that additional orders will result, it does allow other municipalities in New York State, at their discretion, to make use of the City’s competitive process (provided said process satisfies their own procurement guidelines) and contract directly with the selected proposer. The City shall not be responsible for any transactions or agreements entered into between the selected proposer and another municipality.
