Furnish and delivery of Hydrated Lime Slurry to the City of Albany Department of Water & Water Supply, Feura Bush Water Treatment Plant, 501 Old Quarry Road, Selkirk NY 12158, and secondary treatment location, Loudonville Reservoir, 301 Albany Shaker Rd. Albany NY 12211. This contract period will be one-year (1), and it is estimated that a total of approximately 300 dry tons (actual quantity may vary ±5 %) will be purchased over the course of that year. An additional 10 dry tons of product will be purchased for Loudonville Reservoir.
Delivery of the product shall be coordinated with the Feura Bush Filtration Plant (518)-767-2667 24 hours in advance of shipment.
All deliveries shall be made in a leak-proof carrier supplied with a minimum of 60 feet of discharge hose and sufficient gages to insure proper discharge. Bulk lime slurry will be delivered to two 3,000 gallon tanks located at ground level. Vendors are encouraged to visit the water treatment plant and determine the requirements for delivery. Deliveries shall be made in minimum quantities of 4,000 gallons.Delivery requirements also apply to Loudonville Reservoir. As a satellite facility deliveries will be made in 300 to 900 gallon increments and delivered to 300 gallon totes as needed. It is the department’s intention to coordinate this delivery with a larger Feura Bush delivery.
Vendor must have the capabilities to deliver product within ninety-six (96) hours under normal conditions and twenty-four (24) hours during an emergency. Additionally, vendor must be capable of delivering product in inclement weather conditions including but not limited to snow, ice, heavy wind and rain events.
Vendors are encouraged to visit the Feura Bush Water Treatment Plant and Loudonville Reservoir in order to determine the requirements for delivery.
