Furnish and delivery of Polyaluminum Hydroxychlorosulfate to the Feura Bush Filtration Plant, 501 Old Quarry Road, Feura Bush, NY, 12067.
This contract period will be one-year (1), and it is estimated that approximately 1,910,000 pounds (actual quantity may vary + 5%) will be purchased over the course of that year.
The product shall be Polyaluminum Hydroxychlorosulfate PCH 180 as manufactured by the Holland Company Inc, Adams MA, or approved equal.
DELIVERY:
Delivery of the product shall be coordinated with the Albany Filtration Plant (518)-767-2667 ext. 221 - Loudonville Reservoir (518-434-3983) 24 hours in advance of shipment.
All deliveries must be made in dedicated tank wagons used exclusively for the shipment of polyaluminum chloride to maintain product integrity and purity.
Vendor must have the capabilities to deliver product within forty-eight (48) hours under normal conditions and twenty-four (24) hours during an emergency. Vendors shall be able to deliver during all seasonal weather conditions including heavy rain, snow or ice events.
Vendors shall have their own NSF approval for the product being delivered. No secondary delivery providers shall be utilized by the vendor/manufacturer without proper NSF approval granted to deliver said product.
Deliveries shall be made in minimum quantities of 4,000 gallons. In the event of emergency, Albany Water Department reserves the right to order in smaller quantities.
Tank wagons must be equipped with an air blow-off valve to unload to the City of Albany storage tanks. Vendors are encouraged to visit the water treatment plant and determine the requirements for delivery.
