GENERAL: Furnish and delivery of Sodium Hypochlorite to the City of Albany Department of Water & Water Supply, Feura Bush Water Treatment Plant, 501 Old Quarry Rd. Selkirk NY, 12158, Pine Bush Pump Station, 136 Fuller Rd. Albany, NY 12205 Loudonville Reservoir, 301 Albany Shaker Rd., Loudonville, New York, 12211. This contract period will be one-year (1), and it is estimated that a total of 176,000 gallons would be purchased over the course of that year. The product shall be Sodium Hypochlorite as manufactured by United Mineral & Chemical Corporation, Linderhurst N.J., C.B.Lind, General Chemical Corporation, Syracuse NY, K J. Ficek, Carus Chemical Company, Ottawa, Ill. or equal manufacturer meeting ANSI/ NSF 60 standards.

The City of Albany, NY is soliciting sealed bids for the goods and services described in these specifications.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Purchase of Sodium Hypochlorite for the Albany Filtration Plant

ADVERTISEMENT DATE: November 2, 2021
BID SUBMISSION DEADLINE: November 16, 2021; 12 Noon
BID OPENING: November 16, 2021; 1:30 pm
SUBMIT SEALED BIDS TO: Board of Contract and Supply Room 202, City Hall Albany, New York 12207
The face of the envelope must contain the name of the bidder with return address and the contract title. OR electronically via BidNet.com
BID DOCUMENTS: May be examined on BidNet.com or at Room 202, City Hall, 8:30 am - 5 pm. BID DEPOSIT: A Bid Deposit of 5% of the amount of the total bid is required. Submit a certified check or bank draft made payable toTreasurer, City of Albany. A bid bond is acceptable.

NOTE: If the bid deposit is not submitted with the bid, the bid may be deemed incomplete and will not be considered.
BOND REQUIREMENT: The City does not require a performance bond.
PREVAILING & LIVING WAGE RATE The successful bidder must comply with Sections 220-223 of the New York State Labor Law and/or section 42-161 of the Code of the City of Albany pertaining to the Albany Living Wage Ordinance.
