1. The City of Albany (hereinafter referred to as the “City”) hereby requests Proposals from qualified firms or individuals with experience in Police Department Information Technology (“IT”) needs and operations to develop a formal Three-Year Information Technology Strategic Plan for the City of Albany Police Department (“APD”) that will assess current functionality and capacity and provide recommendations for future technology needs, based on industry-recommended practices. This shall include, but shall not be limited to, technology systems, telecommunications, hardware, software, and human capital.

1. A recent audit commissioned by the City of Albany Office of Audit and Control and conducted by the CNA Corporation identified several opportunities to improve and streamline data collection. In addition, the City of Albany Policing Reform and Reinvention Collaborative includes action items related to data collection. Those reports can be found at the following links:
