Summary of Specifications:
The City of Cohoes, New York will receive sealed Bids for Demolition Services for 272-278 Remsen Street. It is anticipated that bid documents will be available at the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, Cohoes, New York on February 11, 2004. Bids will be received until 11:00 A.M., February 20, 2004 at the City Clerk's Office; City Hall, Cohoes, New York. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in the Common Council Chambers, Second Floor of City Hall at 11:30 A.M. February 20, 2004. Bid specifications shall be obtained at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 97 Mohawk Street, Cohoes, New York, by the prospective bidder or his designated representative. A refundable deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be paid for each set of Documents obtained. A non-refundable deposit of Fifteen dollars ($15.00) will be made by separate check to cover the shipping and handling charges if Bid Documents are to be sent to the prospective Bidder. For FedEx delivery please provide label and packaging. The $50.00 deposit will be returned to those Bidders and Non-Bidders who return the Documents unmarked with the Bid or within thirty (30) days of their Bid submission. Unmarked includes in good, reusable condition, with no marks from food, pencil or highlighters of any sort. Bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract amount. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Cohoes has the right to reject any and all Bids, as well as the right to waive all informalities in awarding a contract deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Cohoes.
