NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Repairs to the Sergeant Street Retaining Wall and Culvert City of Cohoes Cohoes, New York
Sealed bids will be received by the issuing office until 11:30 am, Friday September 26, 2003, the bids will be publicly opened and read at 12:00 p.m. on Friday September 26, 2003..
The work site is located adjacent to Sergeant Street in the City of Cohoes, NY.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Repointing of a portion of the historic masonry retaining wall, construction of a segmental block retaining wall and an earth embankment, reconstruction of a section of Sandusky Street, rebuilding of a collapsed section of masonry storm sewer culvert, repair of scoured sections of the storm sewer culvert floor, and tuck pointing of existing masonry wall.
Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the City Hall, City of Cohoes.
Complete sets of the drawings, specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the City Clerk’s office in the City of Cohoes, City Hall, 97 Mohawk Street Cohoes, NY 12047, in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders; upon deposit of $50.00 for each complete set of contract documents. Checks shall be made payable to the City of Cohoes.
In order to be considered for refund, the complete set of Contract Documents and the Refund Form must be returned to the City of Cohoes within 30 days following the bid opening. Bidders will receive full refund for one set. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set, will receive a partial refund of $40.00 for contract documents returned unmarked and in good condition within the time limit stated above.
All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a lump sum bid as described in the Instructions To Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).
Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids.
