The work location consists of eighteen (18) intersections, consisting of forty-six (46) individual curb ramps requiring full reconstruction and two (2) individual curb ramps requiring installation of detectable warning tiles only, along Grand Street and Liberty Street, a portion of Broad Street, Nicoll Street, and Forsythe Place in the northeast section of the City of Newburgh. The general scope of work consists of all site work, construction, and finish work related to the demolition and reconstruction of the intersection, providing ADA compliant curb ramps. All work is subject to prevailing wage rates and requires submission of original certified payrolls as a condition for payment.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: demolition, asphalt surfacing, granite and concrete curb installation, natural stone work, and specialty concrete work complying to the ADA Standards and Specifications. All work shall be in accordance with the plan set and technical specifications prepared hereto. The contractor will be responsible, at no cost, to obtain all necessary and appropriate permits from the City of Newburgh Code Compliance Office.
