Summary of Specifications:
New commercially produced emergency medical care vehicle, herein after referred to as ambulance or vehicle. A vehicle in compliance with these specifications shall be defined as a standard ambulance. This vehicle shall be in accord with the Ambulance Design Criteria of the National Highway Traffic Administration, U.S. District of Transportation Washington, D.C.. This bid specification is based on the latest Federal Ambulance Specification KKK-A-1822 document. This applies to the vehicle and body components only and does not pertain to special medical equipment, which will be specifically itemized.
