RFB-BARSCREEN REPLACEMENT - RFB-BARSCREEN REPLACEMENT

Summary of Specifications:
Provide all labor & materials to replace existing barscreen at the City of Oneonta Wastewater Treatment Plant, 11 Silas Lane, Oneonta NY 13820 with a new REXFORD (or approved equal) HEAVY DUTY Mechanically Cleaned, FRONT RETURN Bar Screen. 

The new unit is a direct replacement of an existing unit. The Contractor shall ensure that the minimum of downtime occurs during removal of existing unit and installation of new unit. 

The replacement screen shall accommodate all concrete recesses without modification. Existing spare parts shall be interchangeable with the new screen. The Contractor shall install new unit per manufacture’s specifications and procedures. 

• ELECTRICAL CONTROLS ( MAY BE REUSED) The screen manufacturer shall provide (__) Primary Control Panels mounted remotely to the screen and be rated NEMA __ and contain the following: 

a.Main circuit breaker b.Magnetic motor starters c.Control transformer d.Time clock to initiate operation e.Power “on-off” selector switch f.Screen failure light g.Screen run light h.Power on light i.Float switch j.H-O-A selector switch 

• SPARE PARTS to be included with unit: 50 shear pins of the correct size & weight for the unit. Existing spare parts shall be interchangeable with the new screen. 

• Manuals: Furnish manufacturer’s installation, operation and maintenance manuals. 

• Minimum One year warranty. 

Contractor to verify voltage and electrical requirements before supplying barscreen. 

Final approval by Steve Kruh. 

• Installation: 

1. Remove existing barscreen and set new barscreen in place to all manufacturers’ specifications. 2. Contractor to install all equipment in a true and professional manor to all manufacturers’ specifications. 3. All conduit and interconnecting wiring between the primary control, secondary control station will be supplied & installed by the Contractor to all manufacturers’ specifications. All wiring to comply with all applicable codes. 4. Contractor to perform test run for proper operation before acceptance. 5. Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing barscreen. Contractor shall clean all debris associated with the replacement before final approval.
