*****THIS PROJECT IS ENTIRELY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE WATER PLANT ADMINISTATOR,RANDY ALSTADT ***************** This contract consists of Water Treatment Facility Improvements and includes the following major components: • Various demolition Work within existing facilities and on-site. • Upgrades to the Alum Sludge Treatment Facility (ASTF), including demolition of existing centrifuge system, furnishing and installation of new centrifuges and ancillary systems, including feed pumps with a grinder unit, piping and polymer system; modifications to electrical and control areas, including new motor control center and electrical system, architectural, structural, HVAC and plumbing improvements. • Upgrades to coagulant system in Chemical Storage and Feed Building for use with alum to meet new feed and storage requirements. • Upgrades to low lift pump station, including replacement of existing low-lift (raw water) pumps with new pumps with adjustable frequency drives and constant speed drives, new motor control center, power distribution equipment, and HVAC improvements. • Furnishing and installation of new carbon dioxide storage and feed system. • Furnishing and installation of new intermediate pump station and wet well to feed ozone contactors and stair tower structure integrated with ozone contactor corridor. • Furnishing and installation of new ozone contactors downstream of existing sedimentation basins with access corridor. • Furnishing and installation of foundation and interconnections for leased liquid oxygen (LOX) storage system to feed ozone generators. • Construction of retaining walls and foundations for new carbon dioxide, LOX system, and ozone facilities. • Construction of new ozone generator building. • Furnishing and installation of new ozone generation and feed system, complete with diffusion, off-gas ozone destruct, deoxygenation and cooling water systems, housed in the ozone generator building. • Furnishing and installation of new hydrogen peroxide storage and feed system for advanced oxidation and ozone residual quenching. • Furnishing ozone process yard piping and flow-meter vault. • Construction of new ozone influent box and modifications to aeration channel for connections for tie-ins to plant process stream. • Installation of temporary systems to facilitate Work, including temporary bypass and bulkheads; centrifuge trailer system. • Replacement of filter media with granular activated carbon (GAC) and sand in filter building. • Site work to accommodate new facilities, including service and potable water, process drains, storm water drains, and service road grading and paving. • New control and monitoring systems integrated with existing supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. • Electrical upgrades required to power new process systems and facilities. • Structural and architectural upgrades required for new facilities. • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) upgrades required for new facilities. • Plumbing upgrades. Bids are invited for the following separate contracts: Contract 1 – General Construction; Contract 2 – Electrical Construction; Contract 3 – HVAC Construction; and Contract 4 – Plumbing Construction.
