Description

PROJECT ESTIMATE: $4,480,000.

CONTRACT TYPE: This is a UNIT PRICE contract.

PROJECT SUMMARY: The scope of the work includes the replacement of existing lead, lead-lined and galvanized water services with new polyethylene or copper water service lines, inclusive of the water main tap, service saddle (if required), service tubing, curb stop and box and connection to the customer’s inside service line. If both inside and outside service lines are found to be composed of lead, lead-lined or galvanized materials the entire service line shall be replaced from the water main to the meter. A full service line flush from the water main to the meter is required following the service installation. The work includes surface restoration of disturbed areas.

REQUIREMENTS: This Contract Contains and Incentive Program for Employing Qualified City Residents, Apprenticeship Training Requirements; and New MWBE and Workforce Goals Requirements
