Piggyback Contract

Description

1.1       It is the intent of the City of Rochester to establish a contract for AGGREGATE RECYCLING SERVICES, EQUIPMENT and OPERATOR for the City of Rochester, Department of Environmental Services, as specified herein.

1.2       Bidder shall produce well-graded granular material mix created from irregularly-shaped pieces of roadway and construction waste materials. These irregularly- shaped pieces were generated by the City’s Department of Environmental Services Operations Bureau. The City of Rochester shall provide stockpiles of material to the successful bidder to screen.

1.3       The final processed material shall consist of a blend of crushed asphalt, concrete, gravel, native soils, rock, curb stone, brick and other similar building materials.

1.4 Bidder shall provide excavator equipment with equipment operator to feed the screener.

1.5       Bidder shall provide loader equipment with equipment operator to remove  oversized material away from the screener.

1.6       The successful bidder must be ready, able and willing to accommodate the City of Rochester in the scheduling of this work.

Note: due to the COVID 19 crisis City Hall is not open to the public, sealed bids and bid deposits submitted in person must be dropped-off in a secured drop-box at City Hall’s Link Entrance located on Fitzhugh Street, Rochester, NY 14614. To ensure your hard copy bid is received and read, clearly write the name of your company as well as the Invitation to Bid number and title on the outside of the sealed envelope. Business checks and cash are not permitted.
