. SCOPE
It is the intent of the City of Rochester to establish a contract for Engraving/Inscribing Services for the crypts, niches or markers at Mt. Hope Cemetery and Riverside Cemetery.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
2.1 The contractor shall, upon receipt of a work order, perform in a professional
and workmanlike manner to the reasonable satisfaction of the City; all of the services required to inscribe as per work order, identifying information on crypts, niches or markers at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1133 Mt. Hope Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620 and Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612 with the same quality consistent with the existing inscription work at either cemetery.
2.2 The fonts shall all be Standard or Standard Condensed Roman as listed.
2.2.1 Double Crypts
- Surname 2 ½" Standard Roman
- Given name 1 ½" “Condensed Roman
- Dates 1 1/4" Condensed Roman
- Various crosses and emblems ranging from 2 to 3"
2.2.2 Single Crypts
- Given and Surname 2" Standard Roman
- Dates 1 ½" Condensed Roman
2.2.3 Niches and Columbarium Units
- Given and Surname 1 1/4" Standard Roman
- Dates 1" Condensed Roman
2.3 All characters and designs are sealed with black lithochrome.
2.4 The contractor shall have the necessary equipment, personnel and expertise to perform the work required under this contract.
2.5 All work must be completed within one week of the receipt of the work order.
2.6 All engravings on grave-markers and monuments are to be completed on site.
