PROJECT ESTIMATE: $1,850,000.00

CONTRACT TYPE: This is a LUMP SUM contract.

PROJECT SUMMARY: The scope of the work consists of Cleaning and Cement Mortat Lining of approximately 5.2 miles of City water mains. This work is to be performed on various streets with the City, as shown oh the Contract Drawings. The water main rehabilitation method consists of mechanically cleaning the interior of the existing water mains to remove rustdeposits and other foreign matter and them applying a corrosion-resistant cement mortar lining to restore hydraulic capacity, improve available fire flows, water quality and extend the useful life of the water mains. The contract requires the supply and maintenance of temporary bypass pipe and water service connections to all customers affected by the project. The temporary bypass piping system will be used to maintan fire protection andproide a continuous supply of water to out customers during construction. Some existing water main valves and fire hydrants will be replaced in this contract.
The City reserves the right to add additional cleaning and lining work as specified in this contract, at other various locations within th City, up to 25% of the initial contract price based upon the unit prices bid.
