The City of Rochester Water Bureau, desires to enter an Agreement for Professional Laboratory Services for the purpose of performing chemical analyses of wastewater. The agreement will be for a one year term, with the option for renewing three additional one year terms.
Laboratories submitting a proposal must be certified under the New York State Department of Health Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP) for the requested analyses. Proof of ELAP certification must be provided with your proposal. If analyses are to be subcontracted, indicate which analyses, where the work is to be completed, and proof of certification for the subcontract laboratory. Your proposal should include a description of your firm’s qualifications specific to this work. Please indicate standard turnaround time for sample results.
Attached is an exemplary agreement that approximates the Consultant’s services, scope of work, term, and City responsibilities.
The analytes and frequency of testing are listed in the table below. Additional testing may occur on an as needed basis as determined by City staff. The City will collect all samples. Sample kits, including bottles, ice packs and shipping coolers must be provided by the vendor. The vendor is responsible for all shipping charges; however, these fees may be excluded if the laboratory is within driving distances of the City’s Hemlock Water Quality Laboratory.
