PROJECT ESTIMATE: $4,000,000

CONTRACT TYPE: This is a Multiple Prime (General Construction, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical) LUMP SUM contract including Base Bid and Add-Alternates GC-6 and EC-1 thru EC-2.

PROJECT SUMMARY: This ROC the Riverway project includes upgrades and renovations to the Rochester Riverside Convention Center located along the Genesee River, including construction of a building addition facing Main Street, additional restrooms within the existing facility, exterior cladding repairs, foundation wall waterproofing, concrete repairs, waterproofing and expansion joints.

The work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1.A building addition at Main Street includes removing a section of wall and expanding the existing building enclosure on the entry level of the Convention Center to create a flexible event space. This space includes ceilings, interior finishes, HVAC units, ductwork, mechanical systems, plumbing systems electrical systems and site restoration. Also, restrooms will be created by converting existing interior storage at the southwest end of the entry level. Additionally, repairs to the building envelope will include subsurface structural repairs, waterproofing, and metal panel replacement in select areas.

2. Alternates include additional building envelope repairs including granite masonry repairs, soffit repairs, doors replacement, construction of a new landscape planter facing Main Street, accessibility improvements to the existing south terrace, metal panel joint replacement on all sides of the building, and concrete stair replacement on the south side of the facility.

REQUIREMENTS: This Contract Contains an Incentive Program for Employing Qualified City Residents, Apprenticeship Training Requirements, MWBE and Workforce Goals, and NY State Wicks Law
This project is funded in part by funds provided by the United States Treasury pursuant to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). Contractors must comply with the mandatory ARPA requirements in addition to the City of Rochester's policies and procedures for public works construction contracts.

Empire State Development (ESD)- The project is funded in part by funds provided by ESD. Contractors shall complete all of the requirements for the release of ESD funds to the City of Rochester, including but not limited to, lien waivers and other forms as specified in the Contract Proposal Book under Section STC 19.

A pre-bid conference and site walkthrough will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 10:00 am, in Aqueduct Room AB, at Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, 123 East Main Street, Rochester, NY 14604. There will be a site walkthrough immediately after the meeting.
All bidders are urged to attend so that their bid is not rejected due to lack of adequate documentation. Any statements made at the pre-bid meeting do not constitute changes in the Contract Documents. Amendments to the Contract Documents can only be accomplished by means of addenda issued by the City Engineer.
