CONTRACT TYPE: This is a UNIT PRICE contract.
PROJECT SUMMARY: This Project consists of the improvements to Water Supply Conduits & Appurtenant Structures
along NYS Route 15A (East Henrietta Road), between NYS I-90 to I-390.
The scope of the work consists of water main improvements for the City of Rochester water supply
transmission conduits (Conduits 1, 2 and 3) and appurtenant structures located beneath NYS Route
15A (East Henrietta Road) between I-90 to the south and I-390 to the north, Town of Henrietta, NY. The
project includes the following work:
1. Installation of new crossover connections between Conduits 1, 2 and 3 near Valiant Drive,
consisting of butterfly valve installations, segments of water main pipe replacement,
abandonment of existing blow-offs, and installation of new blow-offs. This will additionally require
rerouting of an existing MCWA water main.
2. Replacement of water main stop gates on Conduits 2 and 3 near Palamino Drive, involving
abandonment of existing stop gates and corresponding vaults, installation of new stop gates,
and replacement of an existing air valve on Conduit 3.
3. Installation of new blow-offs and hydrants on Conduits 1, 2, and 3 near Goodburlet Road.
4. Installation of new blow-offs and hydrants on Conduits 1, 2, and 3 near Thompson Road.
5. Replacement of valve boxes at Lehigh Station Road, on a MCWA service connection, and at
Palamino Drive, on Conduit 1 crossover connection.
REQUIREMENTS: This Contract Contains an Incentive Program for Employing Qualified City Residents, Apprenticeship Training Requirements; MWBE goals and Workforce Goals Requirements.
