Sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Rome, New York, until 3:00 P.M. local time, Thursday, August 25, 2011, for RFP-2011-013 ROME ENERGY EFFICIENCY & SUSTAINABILITY PLAN The City of Rome is accepting proposals for Professional Services to Assist the City of Rome, New York with the development of a community-wide Sustainability Plan that focuses on Smart Growth, energy-efficiency, and the stewardship of our natural and fiscal resources. Qualified proposers must demonstrate a multiple-disciplinary and innovative approach to development of an implementation-oriented plan for use by residents, businesses, and City Government. It is expected that the team of professionals shall include, but not be limited to, experts in the field(s) of engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), graphic design, marketing, economic development, energy-efficiency, and natural resource conservation & management. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:00 P.M., local time, the same day, August 25th, 2011 in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall, Rome, New York. This project is being funded through the New York State Energy Research & Deelopment Authority (NYSERDA) in part by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. The successful bidder and all subcontractors shall comply with all terms and conditions in the Recovery Act, and other applicable Federal requirements and the Laws of New York State.
