Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Rome, New York, until 3:00 P.M. local time, Thursday, June 9, 2011 for the:
Enhanced Neighborhood Improvement Program (eNIP)
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:00 P.M., local time, the same day, Thursday, June 9, 2011 in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall, Rome, NY.
All proposals shall be made on forms furnished by the City and each proposal shall be delivered to the Rome City Clerk, 1st Floor, Rome City Hall, 198 N. Washington Street, Rome, NY in an envelope clearly marked as follows: PROPOSAL DOCUMENTS, BID NUMBER: RFP 2011-001, N. Madison Street and BIDDER’S NAME. No bid bonds are required.
Plans, specifications, proposal forms and other contract documents for the following project may be secured from the Department of Community and Economic Development, 3rd Floor, Rome City Hall. This project must be completed within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. Bid Proposal Form, Bid Itemization Form, Proposer’s Warranty Form, Responsible Bidder Form, Non-Collusive Statement, M/WBE Participation Form, Section 3 Form, and Bidder Checklist must be returned with each proposal.
Proposals will be accepted from certified EPA-Certified Lead Abatement Contractors who shall follow USEPA, HUD, & OSHA regulations and all applicable codes. BID NUMBER: RFP 2011-001 (Lead Abatement)
PROJECT NAME: N. Madison Street PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Lead abatement of windows & stops, interior trims, interior & exterior doors, stair stringers, stair tread, walls & ceilings, floors & decking, headers & door casings and columns, including lead dust hazard cleaning, debris disposal & waste control, occupant protection plan.
All components of this project are subject to HUD Residential Prevailing Wage Rates, Section 3, and Article 15-A Criteria for Contractor MBE/WBE Participation. The City of Rome reserves the right to reject any and all bids determined not to be in the best interest of the City.
