RFP-EG-03092021 - THE MOHAWK HARBOR DOCKAGE DESIGN, MULTI-USE PATH AND LARGE VESSEL DOCK PROJECT

The City of Schenectady will be accepting proposals for an experienced design/engineering firm or team of professionals for the Mohawk Harbor Dockage Design, Multi-Use Path and Large Vessel Dock project. The Mohawk Harbor Dockage Design, Multi Use Path and Large Vessel Dock project will provide enhanced connectivity and public access to the Mohawk River/Erie Canal, Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail, the Rivers Casino Resort, and the Mohawk Harbor complex.  This phased project includes design, path construction and site and utility work in preparation for the fabrication and installation of a large vessel dock at Mohawk Harbor, and is funded in part by the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS) under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.

The City of Schenectady fully complies and cooperates with the implementation of New York State Executive Law Article 15-A, including equal employment opportunities for minority group members and women and contracting opportunities for New York State certified minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs). NYS certified Minority Business Enterprises and Women’s Business firms are encouraged to apply. The MWBE utilization for this project is 15% MBE and 15% WBE for both the design and construction phases.

The final work product for this project will be a design (with all appropriate engineering drawings and documents) as well as all specifications for materials and products and all required documents for the project to go out for construction bids. Final designs and construction documents must be certified by a licensed professional engineer, architect, or landscape architect with appropriate seal affixed to documents.
