Summary of Specifications:
The Burden Iron Works Building is a significant historic industrial building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In order to ensure that only the best material and workmanship representing the highest standards of current historic restoration practice are used in the work and that the building is not damaged, it is a requirement of the Contract that all bidders must demonstrate they have the skills and qualifications through previous experience in historic restoration work to meet the requirements of federal and state historic preservation agencies as outlined in the "Quality Assurance" paragraphs of the specifications relating to the following specialties: Masonry, Clay Tile Roofing, Sheet Metal Fabrications and Flashing, and Wood Consolidation.
