Summary of Specifications:
City of Troy, NY is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the City of Troy to Town of Colonie Predestrian Connection. The project consists of the construction of a pedestrian walkway, sidewalk widening, fencing installation, blaustrade repair and replacenment, sidewalk replacement, and crosswalk and ramp construction. The project also includes the construction of a 3 m ( 10 feet) wide asphalt walkway from the I-787 ramp to the Hudson-Mohawk Multi-use path and the installation of the pedestrian fencing alone the I-787 ramp and the Route 378 Bridge. The sidewalk shall be replaced and decorative balustrade railing shall be repaired or replaced as needed between the Troy-Menands Bridge and Burden Avenue in the City of Troy. In addition, new ADA-compliant crosswalks and pedestrian ramps are proposed to be construced at the Burden Avenue, Water Street, and Mil Street Intersection.
There will be a $50 non-refundable fee for plans plus $12 postage if required.
Subcontracting is permitted as described in Section 108-05 of the standard specifications of the NYS Department of Transportation. Disadvantaged business enterprise utilization goal: 9%.
This will be a prevailing wage project.
