RFB-10-0008 - Emergency Tree Removal at the Former Industrial Tool & Die Site

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Troy is seeking bids from qualified and insured contractors for the emergency removal of approximately 15 trees ranging in size from 6” caliper x approximate 30 feet height to 48” caliper x approximate 30 feet height. The trees are situated on an embankment adjacent to 387 and 389 Congress Street, the site of the former Industrial Tool and Die Building which was recently removed under emergency condemnation procedures. The embankment area is bound to the South by Congress Street and to the North by Richmond alley. 

This project is part of a Federal Highway Administrations Project (FHWA), New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the City of Troy. Hence prevailing wages apply for this project, as well as NYSDOT standard specifications (latest edition), accepted engineering and construction practice. The contractor is wholly responsible for worker safety, DOL and OSHA compliance. 

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to reduce or increase quantities or to waive any informality or technicalities in the bids received or to split this requirement into multiple awards if it is deemed best in the interest of the City of Troy to do so.
