INTENT: It is the intention of City of Yonkers to enter into a thirty six (36) month, firmed-fixed price contract with a qualified Independent Contractor to provide non-exclusive car and truck body repairs, and major collision repairs, as needed.
This specification is for vehicle body repairs that include bodywork, painting, chassis/frame straightening, mechanical repairs, glasswork, air conditioning, and front/rear wheel alignment, as needed.
BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS: Before the award of Contract, the lowest responsive and responsive bidder shall be required to show that they possess all the required licenses, permits and certifications to perform the required work. All Bidders must be primarily engaged in the car, truck, and body repair business. The Successful Bidder shall notify and receive approval from the City Fleet Director of Operations, before
sub-contracting any portion of the work described in this Contract. The City of Yonkers reserves the right to inspect Bidder’s facility and to perform such investigations as may be deemed necessary to insure that competent personnel and management will be utilized in the performance of the Contract. **Refer to Bid Solicitation documents for more details**
