RFP-507 - UNIVERSAL PREKINDERGARTEN PROGRAM ("UPK") 2025 (with option to renew up to 3yrs)

SEE RFP for the full details - The District's Universal Prekindergarten program will operate through the contractor, as eligible agency, in conformity with 8 NYCRR Subpart 151-1. The contractor shall provide instruction to eligible children enrolled in the District's Prekindergarten Program for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week and 180 days a school year in accordance with the requirements for a Universal Prekindergarten age 4 program established by the Commissioner of Education. The five hours of instructional time should include instructional meals in the classroom. Nap time cannot be included in the 5 hours. The contractor will provide 2.5 hours a day for students in the Universal Prekindergarten age 3 program. The contractor must provide the District with a copy of the daily schedule for each classroom operating a District-funded UPK program. Additionally, the contractor must provide weekly lesson plans for each classroom operating a District-funded UPK program. All students enrolled in the contractor’s program must first be registered with Yonkers Public Schools (YPS) according to district registration procedures, and possess a district identification number.
