Intent:
The City of Yonkers (“the City”) is seeking a NYS DEC approved transfer facility for the proper disposal of construction and demolition debris. Material will be delivered by City of Yonkers DPW personnel for disposal. Vendor selection will be based on cost for disposal at transfer facility and distance to travel roundtrip to and from the predetermined City of Yonkers location.
Bidders will be required to supply pricing only in the unit of measure being requested for each contract. Any changes, alterations, or modifications made to Schedule B may render bid submissions non-responsive for the contract. Awarded vendors must invoice the City in the unit of measure being requested for each contract.
All bidding facilities must be an approved NYS DEC transfer facility licensed by Westchester County. The Westchester County license must accompany bid submission. Failure to include this license may render the bid submission non-responsive.
Contract Term:
The contract term shall be for a period of twelve (12) months.
Requirements:
Vendor must be licensed to dispose of construction and demolition debris material. Typical material consists of, but is not limited to, wood, porcelain, sheetrock, metal, and other fixtures. Vendor selection will be based on price per ton and distance to travel roundtrip to and from the City of Yonkers Recycling Center located at 735 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers New York 10710. City of Yonkers DPW personnel will transport the material in 20 or 30 cubic yard roll-off containers. Awarded facility must be able to weigh the containers before and after dumping all loads. Facility must provide a ticket to the driver detailing the incoming and outgoing weights at the time of departure. All pricing related to this service must be submitted per ton. Awarded vendor must invoice per ton.
