CONTRACT NO. 1 - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
Contractor shall construct block masonry Headworks to include influent channels, two (2) mechanical
screens (9.0 MGD), grit removal system (9.0 MGD), flow metering system, primary sludge pumps;
construction of flow distribution chamber, modifications to influent and effluent piping of existing
primary settling tanks, relocation of existing utilities, installation of fence, repaving, seeding, demolishing
of existing structures, etc., construction of Headworks and flow distribution chamber requires installation
of helical piles.
CONTRACT NO. 2 – ELECTRICAL
Electrical work includes relocation of existing underground electric lines, installation of breaker panels,
extension of service, wiring of motors and devices; installation of lighting, panels, disconnects, conduits,
wiring, etc., in both explosion proof and non-explosion proof areas.
A pre-bid conference will be held on June 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 96 Dennings Avenue, Beacon, New York 12508. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference.

Copies may be obtained at the City Hall from May 29, 2019 upon payment of $100.00 deposit in the form of cash, certified check or money order only, for each set. The City of Beacon reserves the right to waive any informalities, and/or to reject any or all bids. The City will not discriminate against bidders because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or marital status.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid security in the proper amount and form, as described and provided in the Information to Bidders and Non-Collusive Certificate.
