Summary of Specifications:
This Request for Bids has been issued by the County of Orange, New York. The County requests bids for the manufacture and delivery of 14 (fourteen) 30-foot and/or 35-foot heavy duty hybrid diesel-electric and/or diesel-only transit vehicles in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below. The bid must also include 25 (twenty-five) purchase options for any of these vehicle types in a vehicle mix to be determined by the County, in addition to the initial vehicle order of 14 (fourteen) buses. The initial order and the exercise of purchase options could be comprised of all the same type of bus or a mixture of bus types, at the discretion of the County. [As an example, for the initial purchase the County could acquire fourteen of the same type of bus or it could purchase a mixture such as six of one type, three of another, and five of another, for a total of fourteen. Similarly, for the purchase options, the County could choose to exercise options for up to twenty-five of the same type of bus or it could exercise options for a total of up to twenty-five buses in a mixture of vehicle types.] The purchase options will be used at the County’s discretion.
