RFP-LAW01-14 - Compliance Assessment, Development, Implentation and Training

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Orange Government (“County”) consists of many departments and offices that perform a myriad of functions and services for the residents of Orange County, New York. The County seeks a qualified firm to perform a risk based assessment of several of its compliance programs, and provide consulting advice concerning the County’s compliance with various regulatory standards and requirements, including but not limited to: the Deficit Reduction Act; False Claims Act; 18 N.Y.C.R.R. 521 (New York’s Provider Compliance Programs); New York State Social Services Law §363-d; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH); the HIPAA Security Rule; the HIPAA Breach Notification Rule, Federal Trade Commission Red Flag; Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act; New York State General Business Law §899.aa; Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS); Fair Credit Reporting Act; and any such other applicable laws, rules, and/or regulations as recommended by a respondent and agreed upon by County.
