RFB-OCWA01-10 - Decentralized Wastewater Demonstration Project

Summary of Specifications:
The Orange County Water Authority will receive sealed bids for Decentralized Wastewater Demonstration Project, which includes construction of advanced septic systems at two sites. At 25 Waterstone Road, construction consists of new building sewers to a 2,500 gallon septic tank and 3,000 gallon pump chamber with electrical and controls. An Advantex filter, phosphorus removal, and gravel drainfields dosed with pressurized distribution piping. Plumbing, including replacements of lavatories, faucets, and shower heads will also be required. At 8 Grove Ave, a new 2,000 gallon septic tank will pump to an Advantex filter with a second pump chamber with electrical and controls dosing a contained raised bed. 8 Grove will also have modifications to interior plumbing to include new urine diversion fixtures discharging to a new 1,500 gallon holding tank.
