RFP-PLA03-11 - Quassaick Creek Watershed Plan Coordinator

Summary of Specifications:
The Orange County Department of General Services is requesting proposals from interested parties to serve as a Coordinator/Project Manager to assist in the preparation of a watershed management plan for the Quassaick Creek. While firms and governmental or non-governmental entities are eligible to apply, the General Services Department prefers an indiviual to servie as Coordinator/Project Manager; submission NOT by an individual must identify a specific indiviual who would serve as Coordinator/Project Manger, if selected. The preparation of the plan is funded in part by a grant from the New York State Department of State Title 11 Environmental Protection Funds and by the Orange County Water Authority. The watershed management plan will build on previous and on-going work by partnering agencies and others. Additional assesment and anaylsis will also be needed. An Advisory Committee of local and regional stakeholders will guide the watershed planning process. This project is estimated to take a total of eighteen (18) months to complete. A not-to exceed amount of $40,750 is available for the Coordinator/Project Manger position.
