Summary of Specifications:
The Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS) is hereby announcing its intent to contract for the continuation of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Temporary Exemption Support Program (TESP).

This initiative will include the development (continuation) of the Orange County DSS, Temporary Exemption Support Program. Since June 2003 this program has been working to decrease the amount of time Family Assistance (FA) recipients and Safety Net Assistance (SNA) recipients spend in employability determination, and working with FA/SNA recipients to develop a long term fiscal support system that will enable FA/SNA recipients to become independent of public support.

The Orange County Department of Social Services anticipates awarding a contract to one Proposer to serve TANF applicants from both the Eastern and Western portions of the County.
