Description

This is a sidewalk installation project that includes installation of concrete sidewalks, concrete driveway aprons, concrete curb (as necessary), and embedded detectable warning units. The work shall be performed on Highview Road in the Town of Ramapo from College Road to West Maple Avenue. A 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk shall be installed on the southern side of the road. Sidewalks and driveways are to comply with all applicable NYSDOT and ADA requirements.In addition to the concrete sidewalk to be done under this contract, the following appurtenant work shall also be required:1. Installation of concrete driveway aprons at all driveways affected by the work and as directed by theEngineer.2. Installation of concrete curbs, type VF6 adjacent to the sidewalk, extending a minimum of 10-feetonto the neighboring cross streets, and as directed by the Engineer.3. Installation of embedded detectable warning units at each cross street and as directed by the Engineer.
