RFP-RC-2021-005 - Home Delivered Meals for Rockland County Office for the Aging

The County of Rockland Office for the Aging is issuing this RFP for the provision of Home-Delivered Meals.  Funding amount is available in the County of Rockland 2021 Annual Budget.  As such, the final funding amount may differ from the estimated amount provided. The goal of the Rockland County Office for the Aging Home Delivered Meal Program is to ensure that all eligible senior citizens 60 years and older receive a quality Home Delivered Meal.  The purpose of this RFP is to obtain quotations from responsible Proposers to provide and deliver prepared meals to Rockland County’s eligible senior citizens 60 years and older residing within Rockland County. 

It is understood that all Proposers share in the mission of the Rockland County Office for the Aging to empower Rockland County seniors and their families by providing access to nutritional services of the highest quality, enabling them to maintain an independent lifestyle for as long as possible.

The Scope of Work outlined in this RFP is intended to describe the preparing, providing and delivery of meals which meet one third (1/3) of the USDA Requirements for an adult, utilizing a cycle of menus developed by the Proposer and approved by the RCOFA Nutrition Coordinator and in accordance with all required specifications.

This RFP is designed to provide interested offerors with sufficient basic information to submit proposals meeting minimum requirements but is not intended to limit a proposal's content or exclude any relevant or essential data.  Offerors are at liberty and are encouraged to expand upon the specifications to evidence service capability under any agreement.
