Independent Contractor – Child Advocate Center Coordinator – Level 2 (Moderate Experience)
The Rockland County District Attorney (RCDA) as the lead agency in collaboration with the Department of Social Services Child Protective Services’ staff, Law Enforcement, Center for Safety and Change (CSC), the Department of Mental Health, Good Samaritan Hospital, Nyack Hospital, and other medical professionals have established a Child Advocacy Program (CAP). The CAP improves our community’s response to child sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. As part of this collaboration, the task force has actively worked to improve Rockland County’s Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) response to these serious crimes committed against our most vulnerable population. Funding has enabled us to develop the Child Advocacy Program at the Special Victims Center. The CACC will work in conjunction with the above-mentioned agencies to assist in the management and administration of the program.
