SSN-RC-2021-014 - Sole Source for VCS Inc. for Counseling and Family Services

The County of Rockland Department of Mental Health is considering the issuance of a Sole Source award to VCS Inc. for the provision of Counseling and Family Services.  Funding amount is contingent on the adoption of the County of Rockland 2021 Annual Budget. As such, the final funding amount may differ from the estimated amount provided in this notice.

This award may be made on a sole source basis in accordance with the Rockland County Procurement Policy.

TERM: January 1, 2021- December 31, 2021

The contract fills a need for accessible and affordable counseling, training and educational services to all residents of Rockland County regardless of their ability to pay standard fees associated with the service.  Clients are mainly without insurance, underinsured or have very high insurance co-pays.

Clients range in age from toddlers through 80+ years.  The agency must be able to serve clients in all five Rockland County Towns.

• Mothers Parenting Group
• Fathers Parenting Group
• Volunteer Counseling Training
• Spanish Language Program
