UC17-152C - REMOVAL OF RAILROAD RAILS AND TIES

The purpose of this bid is to establish a price from a qualified firm (“Contractor”) to remove and dispose of steel rail, associated metal hardware, and rail ties along the County-owned Ulster & Delaware Railroad Corridor (the “Corridor”) as required by the Ulster County Planning Department. The Contractor will provide all labor, equipment and materials required to remove and dispose of these elements as required by the County and as stated in these specifications and the construction documents.  The work includes the removal of track along an 11.5 mile abandoned railroad corridor on the northern shore of the Ashokan Reservoir spanning from Milepost K10 (Basin Road in West Hurley) to Milepost K21.5 (Route 28A overpass in Boiceville).
