The Beyond the Big Apple partnership includes Dutchess Tourism, Sullivan-Catskills, and Central New York which work together to promote the region as a premier destination encompassing outdoor and cultural assets to the international visitor. A new EDA grant will allow the region to create video content showcasing the holiday opportunities throughout the three destinations to key international audiences in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia. The grant would provide the regional partners with creative video assets that would leverage New York State’s international presence in future marketing endeavors. An online brochure can be found at: beyondthebigapple.com. Members of Beyond the Big Apple partnership are proposing a collaborative video content plan to promote the many attributes of the region collectively as partners as well as individually. The video content will be used for future marketing to international visitors but can also be used to promote to domestic audiences. We are focused on highlighting our strengths — from hiking, biking, rafting and fly fishing to craft beverages, culinary delights, cultural attractions, historical treasures and small towns and villages – to bring more international visitors to our region thereby uplifting our local economies. Our goal is to promote the region as an easy and accessible hopping-off point from New York City, the international gateway to the destinations of the Beyond the Big Apple partnership.
