SUNY Erie is seeking bids for instructional services to support the initiatives of the College’s Corporate Training Department. The Corporate Training Department (hereafter referred to as “the Department”) has provided non-credit training programs in support of the academic mission of SUNY Erie for over 30 years. The target population that is served by the Department includes individuals, non-profit organizations, municipalities, and the business community at large in Western New York and Erie County.
The Department’s initiative regarding this RFP includes a comprehensive skilled trades program that includes “apprentice” training to support the Department’s training goals. The Department seeks a training provider to assist with contractual training and consulting. Training for the following skilled trades are currently or potentially offered through the Department; Carpenter, Electrician, HVAC/Industrial Refrigeration, Machinist, Mechanic, Millwright, Pipefitter, Plumber, Tool and Die Maker and Welder. The Department is seeking an instructional service provider qualified to design, develop and instruct customized skilled trades and apprentice training courses, including Math, Blueprint Reading and any other trade related instruction. The vendor(s) awarded this contract/purchase order will be required to develop and deliver a comprehensive program that ensures program participants will be sufficiently trained to meet customer satisfaction and industry standards.
