Summary of Specifications:
LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS (ADVERTISEMENT) GENESEE COUNTY, TOWN OF PAVILION, BLACK STREET ROAD OVER MUD CREEK BID 2013-03 Sealed proposals for the Black Street Road over Mud Creek Bridge Replacement Project (BIN 3316140, PIN 4754.61, D032748) in the Town of Pavilion will be received at the Office of the Genesee County Purchaser, County Building No. 1; 15 Main Street; Batavia, NY 14020, until 2:00 p.m. local time on the 25th day of April, 2013 at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Copies of the Contract Plans and Documents may be purchased only at the Genesee County Purchasing Office, either in person or upon request between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The purchase price for each set of Contract Plans and Documents is fifty dollars ($50.00), which is refundable per the criteria below. Plans will be sent FedEx if the prospective bidder provides FedEx account number for shipping. All checks for purchase of Contract Plans and Documents shall be made payable to “Genesee County Treasurer” and include the contractor’s Federal Identification Number. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond made payable to "Genesee County Treasurer ", in the amount of 5% of the bid, as a guarantee that if the Contract is awarded to the bidder, he will sign the Contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond. If a bidder should fail to sign the Contract and deliver the performance bond within ten (10) calendar days after he has received the Contract, he shall forfeit the proposal guaranty. This contract has a 0% DBE utilization goal. Refunds will be issued to plan and specification holders if they are returned in good condition after the award of the contract or after the rejection of the proposal according to the following values: a. Return 100% deposit to the successful bidder who is not required to return the copy of the documents. b. Return 100% of the deposit to all vendors that submitted bids if they return all documents within 30 calendar days after the award (approval by Legislature). c. Return the deposit less the actual cost of printing ($38 cost resulting in net return of $12) to all vendors that did not submit a bid but return the documents within 30 days after the award (approval by Legislature). No refund will be made for the return of more than one set documents. Refund checks will be issued by the Genesee County Treasurers Office. Parties failing to conform to the above conditions within the prescribed allotted time shall forfeit their deposits as heretofore set forth and shall have no recourse against Genesee County for refunds of the plan and specifications deposit. The County reserves the right to make the award within forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of the bid opening during which period bids shall not be withdrawn.
