2022-02 - Construction of Genesee County Jail

The project includes the construction, and associated sitework and infrastructure for the new 98,675 sq.ft. 184 bed Genesee County Jail and 1,550 sq.ft. Maintenance Building. The construction of the new Jail consists of concrete foundations, structural steel and bar joist roof structure, masonry and brick veneer exterior. The housing units will be constructed with precast concrete modular cell units, structural precast wall panels and slabs. Interior partitions will consist of mainly masonry partitions along gypsum wall board partitions. Doors and hardware will consist of both detention and non-detention grade. The Jail facility will have complete plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical, security electronics and video surveillance systems throughout.
