Sealed Bids for the construction of the Genesee County Phase 2 Water Supply, Contracts 4A and 4B for the upgrades to the Existing Pump Stations will be received, by Genesee County, at the office of the Purchasing Director, 15 Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020, until 11:00 a.m. local time on August 19, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Contract 4A: General Construction consists of the making improvements to four (4) existing pump station buildings including selective demolition and the installation of new pumps, process piping, water mains, valves, miscellaneous site work and appurtenances. The Morgan Road Pump Station upgrade includes construction of a building addition.

Contract 4B: Electrical Construction consists of making electrical improvement to four (4) existing pump stations including the installation of new motor control centers, generators and other electrical related work.

This project may be partially funded under the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) Grant Program as administered by the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYSEFC) and is subject to the requirements of the following provisions: Minority-and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Equal Employment Opportunity; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business; American Iron and Steel (AIS); Davis-Bacon and other EFC Program regulations. The M/WBE Goal for this project is 30%, and the SDVOB Goal for this project is 6%. Prospective bidders should review the NYSEFC Program Requirements and Bid Packet for Construction Contracts included in the Supplementary Conditions of these Contract Documents. Genesee County has applied for a WIIA Grant as a portion of the project funding, and may or may not be awarded a grant. The Base Bid does not include the NYSEFC Requirements. If Genesee County receives a WIIA Grant Award, the Bid Alternate to include this construction funding may be selected and will require the Contractor(s) to comply with applicable NYSEFC Requirements of the WIIA Grant funding.
