Bid 2016-05 - On-Airport Obstruction Removal and Fence Relocation Genesee County

Summary of Specifications:
The Genesee County Purchasing Director will receive sealed bids for the clearing and grubbing of approximately 19 acres of trees which have been identified as Title 14 CFR Part 77 Transitional Surface obstructions. The trees are located within the Instrument Landing system (ILS) Glide Slope critical area. The project also includes removal of approximately 4,900 feet of six foot high security fence which passes through the ILS glide slope critical area and replacing it with eight foot high chain link fence with barbed wire. The new fence will be located outside the ILS NAVIAD facility protection areas. All tree clearing work will be required to be performed between 10/31/16 and 3/31/17. The fence relocation and re-grading work shall not commence until Spring 2017.
