RFP-PB-16-02 - RFP 16-02 for Mail Processing Services

Summary of Specifications:
Monroe Community College (MCC) is requesting proposals from vendors that can provide turnkey Mailing Services. The vendor will pick up mail from the College’s mail room on a daily basis between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, excluding College holidays. The mail shall be post marked the same day of pickup services. The College reserves the right to adjust or add pickup times; however, the College does not foresee adding more than one pickup time. The First Class Mail Services are to include approximately 250,000 pieces of mail annually (including letters and flats). Processing requires application of postage, processing for the maximum discounts and guaranteed same day drop-off at the Rochester’s United States Postal Services (USPS) General Mail Facility located at 1335 Jefferson Rd, Rochester, NY 14692 for processing by the USPS the same day as pick up. The College currently applies appropriate postage to most outgoing mail. Responses to this RFP will assist the College to address the following: 1)Should the College continue lease/purchase/maintain mail processing equipment and apply applicable postage to outgoing mail and engage a vendor for presort services only (current method used by the College). or 2)Should the College no longer lease/purchase/maintain mail processing equipment and engage a vendor to apply applicable postage to outgoing mail for the College and presort for maximum postage savings.
