The Montrose Improvement District is seeking bids to replace footing drains, reseal foundation, perform drainage installation, and repave driveway, all at 30 Victoria Avenue garage in Montrose. Excavation along rear of building to install a new 8” perforated footing drain. Foundation is to be coated with a foundation sealer and coated with foundation membrane. Trench to be lined with soil retaining fabric and backfilled with ¾” stone. The top 2 feet of the foundation trench is to have a 2’ x 2’ basin installed where the primary water flow occurs behind the building along with an 8” discharge pipe to the corner of the building to tie in with the other drainage installation. Topping this trench along the entire rear of the building is to be an 8” bed of millings 2’ wide with an upturned lip of 4” at the building interface, and the edge sealed against the building. At southwest corner of the building, existing built basin to be removed and replaced with a 3’ x 3’ precast basin tying existing drainage into it plus the new installations. Additionally, a new 3 x 3 basin is to be set with frame and grate slightly below grade between 6-8 foot off of building corner where all tie ins can occur. The discharge to be replaced all the way to the existing 15” entering the catch basin at road edge. (Existing tie in, believed to be replaced 4’ out of the basin size needs confirmation by bidder.) Trench of discharge to storm drain to be filled to grade with ¾” stone with soil retention fabric lining trench. Grade to building side to be pitched away from the building of at least 8” slope away. In the front driveway area , all existing blacktop to be removed including the 2 concrete pads beyond the doorway aprons. ( one small triangular pad and the larger semi triangular pad. Doorway approaches can remain and be resealed ) area to be excavated down to appropriate depth to place 6” compacted base, 4” binder and 2” topcoat. Pavement to run from south corner of the building to the furthest point of the retaining wall. The front at road intersection is to be cut out 2’ from existing interface to facilitate a smother grade transition.
