Bids must be submitted in a SEALED envelope, clearly marked with the project title and AIP number, the bidder’s name, the bidder’s address, and the time and date of the opening of bids as specified above. Bids submitted by FedEx, UPS, or other parcel delivery service shall have the SEALED envelope containing the Bid Proposal placed inside the shipping carton.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project work included in the Airfield Pavement Markings generally consists of the following:
Repainting the entire airfield including layout and painting approximately (+/-) 45,800 square feet of White Type I Waterborne paint with Type I Reflective Media, (+/-) 9,500 square feet of
Yellow Type I Waterborne with Type I Reflective Media, (+/-) 1,360 square feet of Red Type 1 Waterborne paint with Type I Reflective Media for surface painted hold position signs, and
(+/-) 30,800 square feet of Black Type I Non-Reflective paint.
PROPOSAL SURETY: All bids must be accompanied by a Proposal Surety (Bid Bond or other instrument as described in the Instructions to Bidders).
QUESTIONS AND CONTACT WITH THE OWNER: All prospective Bidders, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Suppliers shall direct all inquiries related to this project solely to James Chase. The deadline for submitting inquiries related to this project is Friday, July 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. local time.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE: There will be No Pre-bid conference.
OBPA reserves the right to reject any and all bid Proposals and to waive any informality in bid Proposals received.
MINORITY BUSINESS OWNED ENTERPRISES
It is the policy of the Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority to utilize Minority Business Enterprises in all aspects of contracting. This commitment is demonstrated by the efforts taken in the development of the Authority’s MWBE plan and correspondence within the Authority stating such a position. For provisions of procurement, the Authority establishes an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation.
SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED BUSINESSES
It is the policy of the Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority to utilize Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses in all aspects of contracting. This commitment is demonstrated by the efforts taken in the development of the Authority’s SDVOB plan and correspondence within the Authority stating such a position. For provisions of procurement, the Authority establishes an overall goal of 6% for SDVOB participation.
