Summary of Specifications:
GENERAL: The following describes a towable or tow behind type stump grinder/cutter to be used by the Department of Public Works, Oneida County, New York. The unit described shall be a tow behind type unit, diesel engine powered, using a revolving wheel with teeth to grind or cut the stump left during tree removal. The delivered machine must be heavy duty in design and construction, and built to withstand severe usage and vibration. The framework of the machine must be heavy duty also, with sealed bearing axles, heavy-duty tires and rims with a hydraulic system to the tongue for the auto feed system.
