Project Scope

SCOPE OF WORK
Work under this Contract will include replacement of two existing culverts with new concrete box culverts and cast in place concrete wing walls. The work will also include hot mix asphalt paving, guide rail installation, driveway reconstruction, drainage and other incidental construction necessary for completion of the project.
The Contractor’s attention is called to the close proximity of utilities at the project site.
The scope of this work includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Provide, maintain and remove temporary erosion control measures
• Clearing and grubbing highway right-of-way and work area
• Maintain and protect traffic for the duration of the project in conformance with NYSDOT and MUTCD requirements
• Preserving, maintaining and relocating existing signs
• Locating, preserving and protecting existing utilities at all times
• Maintain stormwater flows
• Remove existing wing walls & culverts
• Install new wing walls, culverts and backfill
• Drainage improvements
• Construction of new road and shoulders
• Cold mill pavement & rebates between existing and proposed pavements
• Construction hot mix asphalt concrete pavements and shoulders to the line and grades shown on the Contract Documents
• Laying out and applying permanent pavement markings
• Placing shoulder backup material to the proper lines and grades
• Installation of guide railing systems
• Restoration of all driveways and property disturbed by construction
• Turf establishment
• Incidental work necessary to completely and satisfactorily construct the project
