Project Scope
Work under this Contract primarily consist of the installation of sidewalk and pedestrian lighting improvements along Lakeshore Drive from NYS Route 364 to US Route 20 and along NYS Route 364 from Lakeshore Drive to US Route 20. Work also includes the milling and overlay of Lakeshore Drive within the project limits.
Roadway modifications will include a reduction to the width of NYS Route 364 by removing 3’ of the northbound paved shoulder. Lakeshore Drive between Moran Road and US Route 20 will be widened to accommodate a 5’ paved shoulder for westbound travel and will require the installation of granite curb and expansion of the existing closed drainage system.
Installation of signalized pedestrian crossings are also included at the intersections of Lakeshore Drive & US Route 20, NYS Route 364 & US-Route 20, and NYS Route 364 and Roseland Center.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures
• Installation and maintenance of work zone traffic control measures
• Coordination with private utility owners
• Coordination with property owners regarding access
• Tree removal and clearing & grubbing operations
• Open and closed drainage system construction
• Milling of the existing pavement surface
• WMA pavement overlay
• Widening, reduction, and reconstruction of roadway shoulders.
• Installation concrete and granite curb
• Installation of concrete sidewalk and curb ramps
• Restoration of all driveways and property disturbed by construction
• Water valve box adjustments
• Installation of pedestrian level lighting
• Installation of pedestrian signals
• Replacement of traffic detector loops
• Installation of epoxy pavement markings
• Tree plantings
• Turf establishment
• Incidental work necessary to completely and satisfactorily construct the project
The Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, disposal, and performing all
work in accordance with these Contract Documents, technical specifications and plans, as
ordered by the Engineer.
